My Human Spirit--an Organ for Fellowship, Peter Lin

Although I grew up in a Christian home, it was meeting with believers who met with the local churches who showed me how to exercise my human spirit to contact the Lord Jesus Christ (John 4:24). They helped me see that the Lord went through a process to become the life-giving Spirit to dwell in my spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45b; 2 Timothy 4:22). As I continued to grow in my Christian life, I gained many real experiences of the Lord, and was able to develop a more intimate, personal relationship with God.

I have come to treasure each morning when I can call on His life-giving, enlivening name, “O Lord Jesus!” (Romans 10:12-13; John 20:31) I cry from the deepest part of my being. It is so sweet to touch the Lord and to give Him my first love at the beginning of each day. From my experience, the mornings when I consecrate my whole day to the Lord usually make the day more enjoyable.

By taking care of my spirit each morning, I am taking care of my relationship with God. This satisfies God and meets His need as well. Additionally, my human spirit is an organ I need to exercise whenever I contact others. When I come in contact with a believer who is exercising his spirit and enjoying the Lord, I am refreshed. Likewise, when I do the same, I can refresh and water others. Whenever we enjoy Christ in our spirit, others can enjoy that very same Christ! Praise the Lord for such fellowship with God and with the other believers!
